Book a 3 Days Uganda Gorilla tour to Bwindi with us.  This tour starts with a long but scenic drive to the wild jungles of Bwindi NP to meet with the great apes; the mountain gorillas.  Along the way, there is a lot to see, including traversing the equator line twice and interacting with different African communities as you appreciate different cultural values.  The 3 days Uganda gorilla safari can depart from Kigali international airport either crossing through Katuna or Cyanika boarder points; or you depart through Entebbe international airport in Uganda. However the Uganda route involves a lot of driving compared to the Kigali one but rewarding.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi NP.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and community walk.
Day 3: Transfer back to Entebbe.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi NP.

Today wakeup esarly morning for breakfast as you prepare for a long drive towards southwestern Uganda with a brief stop for photos and equator experience at the Kayabwe station later proceed with the drive to Mbarara town for lunch break at Igongo museum, later proceed to Bwindi a UNESCO world heritage site and a home to the endangered gorillas. You will be able to see the stunning hills covered with mist forest dated back 1500years ago, harboring over 110 mammal and 314birds species. Arrive in Bwindi NP in the evening and relax at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Trekkers’ Tavern Cottages (budget)/ Bakiga Lodge / Ichumbi Gorilla lodge (deluxe)/ Mahogany Springs/ Four Gorillas lodge / Gorilla heights lodge (luxury)

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking experience and community Visit (Optional)

Wakeup early morning for the drive to the park headquarters at 8:00 am for the briefing about gorilla trekking experience as you will be briefed and later divided in to various groups and there after you enter the forest in search for these gentle giants, this can take from 1-8 hours depending on where you find them, this exercise requires hiking and here you need to physically fit to take part in this mountain gorilla tracking because it involves climbing the steep terrain. Upon meeting them you will be allowed to spend one hour to in front of gorillas, take photos, later have a lunch break as you are waiting for an optional community visit to the nearby village. Learn about community tours conducted by the local of Bwindi park after retire for the day break with dinner and overnight at your lodge as on (Day 1).

Day 3: Transfer back to Entebbe depending on your flight time.

After breakfast prepare for the drive back while carrying your last memories of the safari, with brief stop for lunch and relaxation at Igongo cultural museum and here you might have an optional cultural visit and later proceed with the journey back to Entebbe where you were picked from. Depending on your flight time you might decide to have an overnight on personal arrangements.
